Ingredients
-
2 cups Whole milk (or heavy cream for a richer texture)
-
1 can (14 oz) Sweetened condensed milk (or low-carb powdered sweetener to taste)
-
2 packets (about 2 tbsp) Unflavored gelatin powder
-
½ cup Cold water (for blooming gelatin)
-
1 tsp Pure vanilla extract
Instructions
-
Bloom the Gelatin: Pour ½ cup of cold water into a small bowl. Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin powder evenly over the water and let it sit for 5 minutes to soften and bloom.
-
Heat the Milk Mixture: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract. Whisk continuously until the mixture is warm and completely uniform (do not bring to a full boil).
-
Melt Gelatin in Warm Milk: Microwave the bloomed gelatin for 15–20 seconds until liquid, then whisk it into the warm milk mixture until fully dissolved.
-
Pour & Strain: For an ultra-smooth finish, strain the liquid through a fine-mesh sieve directly into a glass bowl or gelatin mold.
-
Chill & Set: Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 to 6 hours (or overnight) until completely set into a firm, silky pudding. Serve chilled using a large spoon!
