Brown the Beef
Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
Add Aromatics
Stir in onion and cook 3–4 minutes until soft.
Add garlic and cook 30 seconds more.
Build the Flavor
Add diced tomatoes, tomato paste, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Stir well.
Add the Cabbage
Fold in chopped cabbage. It will look like a lot, but it cooks down.
Cover and cook 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender.
Optional Finish
Stir in cooked rice for a heartier meal, or top with cheese and cover until melted.
