Peach, Lemon & Mint Infused Water
Ingredients
-
2 to 3 ripe peaches, sliced
-
2 lemons, sliced (plus extra for squeezing if you want a stronger lemon flavor)
-
1 large bunch fresh mint leaves
-
Ice cubes
-
Cold filtered water (or unsweetened black/green tea for a peach iced tea)
Instructions
-
Prep the Ingredients (Panel 1): Wash the peaches, lemons, and mint thoroughly. Slice the peaches and lemons. Keep a handful of ice cubes and a wooden muddler (or wooden spoon) ready.
-
Layer the Pitcher (Panel 2): Place the peach slices, lemon slices, and fresh mint leaves into the bottom of a large glass pitcher.
-
Muddle and Stir (Panel 3): Gently bruise the mint and peaches with your muddler or the back of a wooden spoon to release their natural oils and juices. Fill the pitcher with cold water (or brewed, cooled tea) and stir well.
-
Infuse and Serve (Panel 4): Let the pitcher sit in the fridge for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to fuse. Serve in tall glasses packed with ice, garnished with a fresh peach slice and a sprig of mint.
Low-Carb Variations
If you want to elevate this from a light infused water to a sweeter, juice-like treat without adding sugar, try these quick swaps:
-
Keto Peach Lemonade: Squeeze the juice of 2 extra lemons into the pitcher. Sweeten with a sugar-free liquid sweetener like liquid allulose, monk fruit drops, or stevia to taste.
-
Peach Mint Keto "Simple Syrup": If you want a deeper peach flavor, simmer 1 sliced peach with 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 cup of a granular sweetener (like erythritol or monk fruit) until the peach is mushy and has released its flavor. Strain out the solids, let the syrup cool, and stir it into your pitcher.
Would you prefer to make this as a light infused water, or are you looking to turn it into a sweetened iced tea or lemonade?
