Campfire Foil Packet Sausage & Potatoes

 Prep the Packets

  1. Tear 4 large sheets of heavy-duty foil.

  2. Divide sausage, potatoes, peppers, and onion evenly.

  3. Drizzle with oil or butter.

  4. Sprinkle seasonings generously.

  5. Toss gently right on the foil.

Fold tightly into sealed packets.


 Cook

Campfire Method:
Place packets over hot coals (not large flames).
Cook 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Grill Method:
Cook over medium heat for 20–25 minutes.

Oven Backup:
Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 25–30 minutes.

Potatoes should be fork-tender when done.


 Finish It Off

Carefully open packets (steam is hot!).
Top with shredded cheese and let melt.
Add fresh parsley or a squeeze of lemon if desired.


 Make It Even Better

  • Add a splash of hot sauce before sealing.

  • Toss in corn chunks or zucchini.

  • Finish with a dollop of sour cream.
